Female breast surgery is focused on achieving the appropriate sized breasts for your body. Reduction procedures deliver some of the happiest patients a plastic surgeon has in their practice. The physical and psychological improvements are profound and can add to overall quality of life, self esteem or ease of movement.
Breast augmentation, in the right patient, can also deliver significant improvement of self-confidence and the overall look and proportion of the patients body shape.

Whether you are looking to improve the size of your breasts or enhance the shape of your breasts, breast implants could be the answer. There are many reasons women choose to undergo breast augmentation, from breasts that are too small to breasts that need to be reconstructed after mastectomy. Whatever your reason, I would love to talk to you about how I can help you. Your breast implant surgery will be performed by myself, a qualified plastic surgeon with specialist training.
Breast lift (mastopexy)
As time goes by, the natural elasticity of your skin weakens. Whether you have had children or not, breastfed or not, there are many reasons your breasts sag as you age. Weight fluctuations and gravity can also take a toll on your breasts. Mastopexy is a procedure that is a breast lift, helping to reduce the sagging of your breasts. During the procedure, the position of the nipple and areola can also be raised to suit your new breast shape.
During your consultation, we can discuss the suitability of this procedure for you. If you are planning a pregnancy or need to make a decision to breast feed in the future, these factors may delay your decision to have a breast lift.
Breast lift with implants
If you would like to increase the size of your breasts and also give them a lift, I can combine breast implant surgery with mastopexy (breast lift) to achieve a beautiful result. Contact me to book a consultation to discuss the suitability of these procedures for you.
Breast surgery is not just about how you look. How you feel is a very important consideration in making the decision to change the size and shape of your breasts. If you have large breasts, it may be difficult to find clothing to suit your frame, but the physical pain you experience from having large breasts can be much worse. Your back, neck and shoulders can all suffer from having to support a large bust.
Breast reduction surgery can be very successful in helping you achieve your desired look. It can also help reduce and even eliminate chronic pain from large breasts. This procedure is best done when your breasts are fully developed. Pregnancy and breast feeding can also impact your result.
Breast size and shape can greatly affect a woman’s confidence in herself. I have helped thousands of women achieve their ideal breast size and shape and go on to increase their confidence. I will listen to what you would like to achieve with your breast surgery. We will discuss your budget and I will also advise on the realistic outcomes you can expect from the surgery.
Breast surgery is performed under general anaesthesia. We will discuss the details of your specific procedure tailored to your individual circumstances during the consultation to ensure you receive the best outcome.
You can expect soreness and swelling for a few weeks after the surgery. While your scars won’t disappear completely, you can expect them to fade over time. A compression bandage or sports bra can help in healing. Some numbness in your nipples, areola and breast skin can occur for up to six weeks after breast surgery.
I will outline any risks and complications during our consultation and will ensure you are well informed. I welcome any questions, so contact Southbank Plastic Surgery Centre for more information today.
