Liposuction

Marketers come up with new names for liposuction frequently, but it is still basically sucking fat out of somewhere it really shouldn’t be! Far more people ask me for it , than are suitable. You need to be at or close to your ideal weight, with a localised area of abnormal fat collection. It is certainly not a weight reduction procedure, and i don’t do “mega-liposuction”!!
Good areas include the flanks and lower abdomen (localised excess) and the outer hips (“jodphur” areas in women) and inner knees, and sometimes under the chin or along the jawline ( often used in conjunction with “facelift” procedures).

Bad areas include the upper abdomen and generally “thick thighs”

If you have love handles and a bit more around the belly than you would like, liposuction is a great way to define this area. Liposuction is invasive surgery where deposits of fat are removed to help reshape and reduce one or more areas of the body. This means that you can get rid of those love handles and define your abdomen in areas that diet and exercise can’t reach.

While many people would like liposuction and I am frequently requested to perform this procedure, there are only suitable patients who are able to have liposuction. For those people who have had a period of huge weight loss and resultant stretch marks, you may also require another cosmetic procedure to remove excess skin.

To be eligible for liposuction, you need to be at or close to your ideal weight. You also must have a localised area of abnormal fat collection. Liposuction is not intended to be a weight reduction procedure, and I do not do “mega-liposuction”!

The areas that have good outcomes include the flanks and lower abdomen (where there is localised excess) and the outer hips (“jodhpur” areas in women) and inner knees, and sometimes under the chin or along the jawline, which is often used in conjunction with

“facelift” procedures. The areas with less optimal outcomes include the upper abdomen and generally “thick thighs”.

Liposuction tends to be painful but continues to be more effective and time-efficient than any of the non-surgical methods available currently.

Your consultation will cover what you wish to achieve and I will outline the risks of the surgery. We will also discuss recovery. The consultation will provide an environment where we can discuss how to achieve your goals. This will all be outlined to achieve your results in the safest, most realistic way possible.

The procedure can help give back definition to your chosen area. But allow a few months for the final results to appear after your surgery.

If you’re sick of your love handles and want more definition, contact us to see how liposuction can improve your appearance and confidence.

We'll answer your questions and show you how easy it is to get started.
